Amy Latimer is an expert in sports, hospitality and entertainment. As Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Delaware North, a $4.3 billion family-owned hospitality and entertainment business. In this role she leads all aspects operational management across a diverse portfolio of over 200 high-profile global locations. From iconic sports and entertainment venues to gaming operations, national and state parks, destination resorts, and beyond, Amy’s transformative leadership drives the company’s performance.
Prior to her appointment to EVP and COO, Latimer served as president of TD Garden in Boston and chief growth officer for Delaware North. With a keen focus on innovation and advancement, Amy is recognized as an early adopter and supporter of technology, continually enhancing the guest experience and setting industry standards. Under Amy’s leadership, TD Garden underwent a complete transformation, including a $70 million, floor-to-ceiling renovation in 2015 and a multilevel, $100-million, 50,000-square-foot arena expansion that opened to the public in 2019. Dubbed TD Garden’s Legendary Transformation, this project provided a completely enhanced fan experience – from new entrances to reimagined premium products and amenities, state-of-the-art vertical transportation and new bars, lounges and seating areas.
Her comprehensive expertise includes sales, marketing, public relations, government and community relations, underscoring that the power in her leadership is rooted in building relationships. Within Delaware North, Amy is known for her ability in developing teams and nurturing talent, regularly mentoring rising leaders throughout the organization. A seasoned public speaker and spokesperson, she frequently represents Delaware North at conferences, panels, industry events and in the media.
Amy has garnered accolades and recognition for her contributions to the industry throughout her career. She was named one of Sports Business Journal’s “Game Changers” in 2011, honored as the “WISE Woman of the Year” in 2015 and celebrated as a “Boston Business Power Player” in 2017. During her tenure as President of TD Garden, the venue was consistently ranked among The Boston Globe’s top 100 women-led businesses in Boston. In addition to her professional achievements, Amy is engaged in civic and industry endeavors, serving on boards and councils. Current appointments include Chair to the Advisory Board for the Federal Reserve Boston, appointed by the Governor of Massachusetts Convention Center Authority’s board of directors, the Massachusetts Large Venue Security Task Force, and Shooting Touch, a Boston-based nonprofit dedicated to mobilizing the power of basketball to bridge health and opportunity gaps for youth and women facing racial, gender, and economic inequalities.
Amy received her bachelor of science degree in political science from the University of Rhode Island,which she attended on a full basketball scholarship. She also took political management courses at George Washington University and worked for Empower America while living in Washington, D.C.
